A Little Song

Well, folks, seeing as it's that special time of year again, I have a little ditty for you all. I call it "Gnomean Rhapsody (Everything Goes Boom)". Sing it to the tune of "Jingle Bells". I dedicate it to the memory of the insane gnome NPC (I think his name was Menckel?) whom I stepped in to play for a single session.

What does this lever do? I think I tried it once,
awakening a clanker who wanted me for lunch.
That thing was big and buff, with cogs and wheels bright;
